The Star Named EOS

Capture photos and step back in time to experience the moments held within them in The Star Named EOS. Solve a variety of puzzles to help a young photographer uncover the truth about his mother’s disappearance and rediscover the beauty that is to be found in the world.

A half-unzipped roll of camera film.
A black and white polaroid photo taken from a room.

A narrative puzzle game about photography,
exploration and rediscovering the past.

From the first-person perspective of the photographer, through recreating photos,
we can step back in time and experience the long-forgotten memories held within them.

  • An open envelope contained three polaroid photos and a handwritten letter.
  • Two long strips of photos and a small polaroid photo that captured an interlacing of light and shadow.
  • Camera footage of a dark forest being captured, placing a finished polaroid photo on the left side of the screen.
  • A train cabin with a view of outside scenery. There are several seats in the cabin, and different travel-related items are placed in. There is a meal coupon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Prologue

In the familiar small room, seeking out childhood memories.

Looking through the yellowed photo albums and the postcards sent by Mom one after another, what kind of stories are contained in them? Is the scene captured by the camera beautiful or real?

As the puzzle is solved, the fuzzy bits and pieces will gradually become clear.

Messages

"If things change and time passes, will memories fade?"

There are always some stories that are shackled in the cage of memory. The past that seems to be forgotten but deep in my heart...

And a ray of dawn outside the prison, will lead to a journey unknown yet.

The memories that you most eager to evoke are hidden at the intersection of the past and the future...

  • Camera footage of a green vehicle in front of a cafe being captured, placing a finished polaroid photo on the left side of the screen.
